About the Roots North Music Festival: The Roots North Music Festival will be celebrating it's 3rd year in Arpil 2017. It takes places at multiple venues throughout Downtown Orillia. Roots music can refer to several styles or genres in music, but to us it’s music that is firmly rooted in a place of honest expression and emotion. It’s music that travels, shares, and connects, while honouring the past and bravely moving forward.

About the Orillia Youth Centre: The Orillia Youth Centre was founded in 1999 and has grown to see over 13,000 visits per year. To date they have had over 7,000 visits in 2016.  The Youth Centre offers a wide array of programs for youth ages 11-17 from Open Mic Nights, a weekly Open Gym Night, yoga, Blacklight Theatre, hosting Orillia National Youth Week, and to weekly cooking workshops to name a few. The Youth Centre also works to address social issues facing many young people in our community and all of these opportunities are 100% free of charge for youth to access.  The start of the fall season marks an exciting time at the Youth Centre, and 100% of all the money raised in this concert will go directly into supporting this youth programming.

The Orillia Youth Centre is a wonderful community centre hub with youth of all walks of life coming through our doors and NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY; taking part in arts, music, cooking, getting help with homework, or just hanging out.
